The app just feels really sparse, which may be because it is beta, or it may be because that is what you intended. speed, estimated completion, what file and directory are being copied. I'd like to see a bit more info on the main screen, e.g. Performance seems really good, although hard to gauge as there is no feedback of what file is currently being copied.

Same applies when running with Full Administrative rights. I understand why this happens, just pointing it out. Backing up to a network drive doesn't work when running as a service (destination drive not found). The Change buttons with the down arrow, should change to an up arrow when the button has been pressed. Not a bad thing, but a little offputting initially. Intimidating first dialogue - blank with Add new backup. Artificial delay on the installer? I have a very fast PC (with SSD) and each time took a finite time (.25 of a second maybe). Thanks for your help and for your interest! Try and push it hard - huge files, tricky moves, contrived paths, slow links, quirky NAS devices - all this is great and very much welcomed :)Īnd that's it.Speak up - you don't say, I won't fix it.Take note of what works as expected and what doesn't.Loose ends in the UI are marked in a special way, you should recognize them easily enough. File filters - a backup option for including/excluding files in the jobĢ. Things that are not included in Beta Release 1:ġ. The setup file size has grown to 1.3 Megs, but that's mostly due to including both 32- and 64-bit executables in it. Major performance improvements across the board and so Bvckup 2 beta is now ready for testing.ģ.
